WNV Systems has launched a new, fully-adjustable and electronically-controlled chassis wash in direct response to market demand for a system that can effectively clean hybrid buses.
The machine is energy-efficient and it uses a seal-less waterproof pump to deliver maximum lifespan and reliability.
It has a marine-grade touch screen with easy vehicle selection, start and stop buttons and operating lights.
In-built technology means that vehicle-specific wash cycles can be recorded, and guided failure warnings together with temperature monitoring are standard components.
Says Engineering Manager Alex Elbrow: “Our system can be programmed to avoid compromising delicate areas, but it will clean the underside of a vehicle to MoT standards in 20-30 minutes, giving a full-width clean from its nine rotating jets.
“It can be programmed for any number of vehicles and it is fully electronically adjustable, so it is effective in a large and diverse fleet. At an average cost of £2 per wash, the financial savings are substantial.”
The first of the systems was installed by Nottingham City Transport in February, which washes seven chassis per week.
