Passenger Lift Solutions (PLS) has introduced a three-tier structure for its Access Lift, which serves applications including accessible minibuses in an underfloor cassette-type format.
The approach uses Core, Plus and Professional tiers, making it easier for operators in the accessible minibus field to identify the specification that best suits their vehicle, operational requirements, and budget.
Adoption of the strategy “aims to simplify the buying process while continuing to deliver the proven reliability and support the Access Lift is known for,” PLS says.
The change has been introduced following feedback from customers. It informed PLS that buyers wanted more flexibility in how vehicles are specified. Previously, they used a single Access Lift specification regardless of application. The new structure allows operators to instead choose the level of automation and customisation that suits their application.
Core is aimed at operations that need straightforward, dependable performance without additional complexity. Plus adds powered deployment and stowage for users who want extra convenience while keeping the same footprint and support as Core.
Professional is built for large or demanding fleets that require a fully customisable specification, with the widest range of safety options available across the portfolio.
PLS says that the tiering approach does not affect fundamentals of the Access Lift. Regardless of tier, each is produced to the same build quality and safety standard and is backed by the supplier’s three-year warranty and PLS Assist support.
The distinction between tiers lies solely in the level of automation and customisation available, allowing buyers “to specify the lift that matches how the vehicle is actually used rather than working from a single specification regardless of application,” the supplier says.
Continues Sales Director Mike Pitt: “We know that no two operations are the same, and customers have told us that they want more flexibility in how they specify their vehicles.
“Introducing Core, Plus and Professional tiers makes it easier for operators to choose the right level of specification for their fleet, without ever compromising on the build quality and safety they expect from the PLS Access Lift.”
