The Travellers Choice has renewed a contract that will see video telematics provider Lytx deliver analytics, safety and productivity solutions until 2022.
DriveCam event recorders have been used by the operator since 2016. Lytx won the new contract after a retendering process involving other technology suppliers. That, it says, is “testament to the collaborative relationship” that the two businesses enjoy.
In the past year, the operator has seen a 25% reduction in late response incidents, a 46% cut in insufficient braking distance incidents and a 12% drop in overall risk severity.
Lytx says that those results “are all the more notable because they build on already remarkable safety improvements during the first two years that the company worked with Lytx.”
Says The Travellers Choice Commercial and Compliance Manager Peter Butterfield: “After reassessing the market, we realised the importance of the objective event behaviour review that Lytx provides.
“With other suppliers we would have too much video data to manage. With Lytx, we saw an opportunity to not only deploy the industry’s leading technology, but also to re-energise our drivers and our commitment to safety.”
