Bartec’s TAP200 tyre pressure and tread depth reader was unveiled at the CV Show last week by distributor Butts of Bawtry.
The new tool is MoT approved and has been designed to allow the fast and accurate collection of tyre wear and pressure data from commercial vehicles.
Able to measure irregular tread wear, tread depth and tyre pressure as well as record tyre, valve and wheel damage for review, the TAP200 has a colour-coded warning system.
It indicates and records the tread wear pattern using three points of measurement to clearly show the tread profile.
In addition, the TAP200 also captures the pressure, enabling incorrect inflation or slow leaks to be identified.
The automated data collection means that the user can profit in many ways, says Bartec. For example, fuel costs will reduce thanks to lower rolling resistance, tyre life will be maximised, and the number of tyre failures and breakdowns should reduce.
“We are delighted to welcome Butts of Bawtry as a distributor of the TAP200 and look forward to a long and successful relationship with the company,” says MD Colin Webb.
