From retreats in Fenny Bentley, Derbyshire, and Tywardreath, Cornwall, CHICKS provides free of charge, five-day long respite breaks for disadvantaged children from across the UK.
In addition, the operator is providing a 25% discount on coach travel to all adults accompanying children to a CHICKS’ break, as well as a 25% discount to any CHICKS’ break volunteers.
National Express Coach Managing Director Chris Hardy says: “CHICKS provides vital help to disadvantaged children around the UK.
“We are glad to be able to offer assistance by providing free coach journeys so youngsters can go on much needed respite breaks.
“This new partnership forms part of our Youth Promise pledge which is a commitment to support young people by enhancing their opportunities of success in work, education and life.”
In addition to providing 900 free return coach journeys, National Express is sponsoring Memory Bags that are given to each child who attends a CHICKS break, containing presents, diaries and photo compilations of their time at CHICKS.
