Havant-based Vision Travel International suddenly stopped trading last week without notice, leaving customers without coaches and local authorities scrambling to cover schools contracts.
The firm, which had its O-Licence cut at Public Inquiry in December 2014 from 15 to 12 vehicles, due to financial standing, says it is going into voluntary liquidation.
Owner and sole-director Peter Sharpe, 73, had been told by Companies House in January that the firm would be struck off, for not producing its annual accounts. This action was suspended in February, but the accounts have still not been filed.
Mr Sharpe also owns Vision Tours Ltd, whose status is not known. There is no connection between the firm and Mr Sharpe with other companies elsewhere in the country using ‘Vision’ in their title.
