Irizar UK has further cemented its investment to its aftersales service by making a number of new appointments, in response to the growing number of its Integral coaches going into service in the south of England.
Gavin Brown (pictured, centre right) has joined the team as a Field Service Engineer, with the specific remit of covering London and the South East.
He joins Irizar Field Service Engineers Darren Bradshaw, Jon Clark and Richard Covell, who all carry out vehicle servicing, diagnosis and repair at customers’ premises to minimise downtime for operators of Irizar Integral coaches.
Mr Brown, who previously ran the maintenance department at Crawley Luxury Coaches, says: “I am delighted to be joining Irizar at such an exciting time and I am looking forward to the introduction of the next generation of vehicles with their enhanced DAF – ZF drivelines.”
Additionally, Hayes-based coach operator City Circle has been appointed as an official Service Dealer to provide cover for operators in the Heathrow area, while Centurion Travel of Midsomer Norton, Somerset, joins as a Parts and Service Dealer, covering the South West.
City Circle’s Engineering Manager, Steve Maw, says: “We have good experience with the product as we already look after the maintenance requirements of some local Irizar Integral operators, including Passenger Plus and A La Carte. This latest move allows further expansion of our service offering.”
Adds Centurion MD Martin Spiller: “Centurion Travel has successfully operated and maintained Irizar Integral coaches in its own fleet for some years and is now able to offer parts and technical support to other Irizar operators, local and passing.”
