Prentice Coaches, the multi-award winning operator based in Haddington, near Edinburgh, has a new Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro200, bringing its entirely ADL fleet up to 20 vehicles.
Says MD Ross Prentice: “The bus side of our company is growing nicely with services reaching out from Haddington to areas as far afield as Tranent, Whitecraig, Wallyford, Musselburgh, Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and the new route to Fort Kinnaird Retail Park.
“Just like the coach sector, the key to success in terms of providing local bus services is friendly drivers, stylish, comfortable, reliable vehicles that are fuel efficient, perform well and are easily maintained.”
Prentice Coaches is associated with virtually every recognition available in the UK transport sector, in recent years including the routeone Awards; named as Medium-Sized Coach Operator of the Year; Small Fleet Coach Operator of the Year; Top Independent Bus Operator and featured in the roll of honour at the UK Bus Operator Awards in 2016.
The new 10.8m 39-seat Euro 6 model joins a line-up of E200s and has gone straight into operation on route 108, (Haddington-Fort Kinnaird).
Established 26 years ago, Prentice is long-established in the Lothians as a leading provider of coach hire for day tours, educational outings, weddings and corporate work – but is now also a significant player in the provision of bus services in East Lothian and Edinburgh.
