EYMS will run a guided tour of Hull in the summer holidays, using one of two open-top buses acquired from Lothian.
Hull’s City of Culture status has encouraged the operator to try the service. It believes Hull has never had a city bus tour.
The ‘Hull Explorer’ will tour the Cenotaph, Queen Victoria Square, the Wilberforce Monument, Old Town, the Museums Quarter, Hull Minster, Trinity Square, the Deep and the Marina.
A tour guide will tell the story of the city, and City of Culture volunteers will meet and greet passengers as they board.
Martin Green, Director of Hull 2017, says: “It’s great that EYMS are going to be providing this service so that visitors can explore the city like never before. It's also a chance for people who have lived in Hull all their lives to be able to experience their city in a new way.”
