Strike boosts express coach

A strike on Northern Rail today (8 November) provided Stagecoach Yorkshire with a further opportunity to promote its newly-launched Barnsley-Leeds X10, with power sockets and free wi-fi.

It runs hourly, seven days a week. The first week (28 October-3 November) was operated free.

The new route uses refurbished Caetano Levantes previously on National Express contracts.

Stagecoach Yorkshire, which runs 403 buses, is also running extra vehicles, including more double-deckers, on key routes.
