Andy Edwards (pictured) will take up the post of Managing Director of Go-Ahead London in January 2026. He will step up from his current role of Operations Director to take on overall leadership of the business, which is the largest Transport for London red bus contractor.
As Operations Director, Mr Edwards is credited for driving performance improvements across the company, securing new contracts, and laying foundations for future success.
In addition to his work in London, Mr Edwards has previously served as Managing Director of Go-Ahead Ireland and Go-Ahead Singapore. He has also spent time with Hong Kong’s largest operator, KMB.
Mr Edwards will be succeeded as Operations Director by Andre Harlock, who will move from Govia Thameslink Railway where he is currently Director of Services for Southern and Gatwick Express.
In a third change to the Go-Ahead London senior team, Nick Kinsey has joined as Finance Director, bringing what the group says is “a wealth of financial knowledge and experience from both listed and privately-owned companies.”
Mr Kinsey’s arrival will leave Go-Ahead London “in a strong position to grow and succeed in the years ahead,” its parent adds.
Speaking about the appointments, Go-Ahead Bus CEO Matt Carney says: “This is a thoroughly well-deserved promotion for Andy, who has shown complete dedication to putting customers at the heart of everything we do.
“I am also delighted that we will be joined by Andre and Nick, both highly experienced and talented individuals. I am confident that Andy, Andre and Nick will further strengthen Go-Ahead London’s position as the city’s leading bus operator.”
Adds Mr Edwards: “It is a huge privilege to be appointed Managing Director to London’s largest bus operator.
“I am looking forward to continuing to work closely with Transport for London and my talented colleagues to deliver safe, reliable and punctual services for the millions of customers who travel with Go-Ahead London.”
