Positive response to the 2025 routeone Awards presentation evening from the coach and bus industry has continued in the aftermath of the sector’s calendar highlight for this year.

The event, held at The Vox at Resorts World Birmingham on Thursday 13 November, saw winners in 16 categories revealed. Naming of those operators and people is the pinnacle of a judging process that started in the early part of 2025 and involved a panel made up of eight longstanding senior industry members.

A capacity crowd of 900 first saw former Go South Coast Managing Director Andrew Wickham honoured posthumously with the Special Award. Mr Wickham died in May at the age of 58 and his victory recognises the huge contribution that he made to the coach and bus industry.

Other winners were drawn from operators in the SME, municipal and large group fields, with representatives from England, Northern Ireland and Wales called to the stage for silverware. Magician Ben Hanlin co-hosted and provided after-dinner entertainment, while the Cat Davis Trio performed in the foyer bar after the event.

Naming of this year’s winners concludes the 2025 routeone Awards. The team will take a short break before commencement of the 2026 process in the early part of next year. Further information will follow in due course via routeone and the event website.

The 2026 presentation evening will again be held at The Vox at Resorts World Birmingham after a successful move there in 2024. That setting has generated a positive response and organiser Diversified UK and Europe is pleased to return for a third time.

Next year’s event will also sit alongside the coach and bus industry’s premier trade show Euro Bus Expo 2026, which will be held at the adjacent NEC Birmingham on 3-5 November.

Enquiries about partnership and sponsorship opportunities for the routeone Awards, and for exhibition space at Euro Bus Expo, should both be made to Commercial Manager Martin Laverton via email.
