Kings’ green livery has been adorned to mark the operator’s 65th birthday

Colchester-based Kings Coaches is celebrating its 65th birthday with a high-specification, specially-liveried i6 integral, supplied by Irizar UK (01909 500514).

The tri-axle 53-seater was purchased following good experience with a 10.6m i6 integral that joined Kings’ fleet in 2017, says Proprietor Andrew Cousins.

“That decision was driven by Irizar’s ability to build the coach to the exact specification that we wanted. The second integral followed because our operational experience of the first is so good.”

The new coach has i6 Plus seats with embroidered numbers, side-shift functionality and drop-down tables. Irizar’s standard Bosch audio system and Actia DVD player are both also fitted.

Power is from the DAF MX-13 engine rated at 460bhp coupled to a ZF AS-Tronic gearbox.
