Tomorrows Travel has announced the acquisition of the Bournemouth division of Xelabus, which traded as Freedom.
The purchase includes two vehicles and Xelabus’s operations centre in Three Legged Cross, Dorset.
Freedom Coaches was bought by Eastleigh-based Xelabus in July 2025 after the retirement of former owner Paul Comber.
Taking effect on 1 April, the Freedom brand will be retired and the associated services integrated into the operations of Poole-based Tomorrows Travel, which was established in 2023.
The services operated by Freedom, including school and college runs, will continue unaffected.
A joint statement from Tomorrows Travel Directors Jay Thornton and Jason Cousins reads: “The acquisition supports Tomorrows Travel Group’s ongoing development plans and strengthens its regional presence.”
Gareth Blair, Managing Director of Xelabus, adds the move “allows both businesses to focus on their respective operational priorities while strengthening our relationship with Tomorrows Travel”.
