Total’s offering includes oil, additives and oil and coolant analysis services

Total has a range of products that support the coach and bus industry’s move to Euro 6.

Rubia 9900 FE 5W-30 grade oil has been developed for Euro 6, but it is suitable for lubricating all types of diesel engines, including older types and regardless of whether they have post-treatment systems such as EGR, SCR or a diesel particulate filter (DPF).

A low-SAPS formation also helps to prevent the clogging of the DPF and extends post-treatment durability.

Excellium is a diesel fuel additive. It keeps injectors clean and improves the efficiency of the burn, reducing consumption by up to 5% and generating a similar reduction in CO2. It also cuts carbon monoxide, unburnt hydrocarbons, NOx and particulates.

Total also offers a coolant and oil analysis service. Analysing oil indicates how the engines is performing, and allows a check to be made that injectors are working properly and that oil viscosity is in the correct range.

Coolant analysis allows verification that its concentration is correct, which is important if the engine is not to overheat in warm weather or to freeze in the winter.
