Passengers on Brighton and Hove Buses and Metrobus services can now pay for tickets using contactless methods.

Payments can be made by tapping the ticket machines on the operator’s buses with contactless Visa or Mastercard bank cards or mobile phones using Apple or Android Pay.

“We want to make it as easy and convenient as possible for people to catch our buses, so this is a breakthrough,” says Martin Harris, Brighton and Hove Buses’ Managing Director.

“Contactless also helps speed-up boarding and makes bus journeys quicker. That is absolutely key in a busy city like Brighton and Hove, and another step towards fighting congestion and keeping buses running on time,” he adds.
