Both of the i6 integrals for Barry’s Coaches are 12.9m 57-seat examples

Barry’s Coaches of Weymouth has added two i6 integrals, supplied by Irizar UK (01909 500514).

The identical 12.9m vehicles will primarily work European tours. They each have 57 seats along with a centre toilet, USB charging points and audio and video systems from Bosch and Actia respectively.

“We have a high proportion of Irizar coaches in our fleet, and we are moving towards the DAF-engined integral product,” says MD and Fleet Engineer Graham Newsam.

“We like the high standard of comfort and finish provided, and the Irizar product as delivered meets our fleet standards. It is also very popular with customers.”

Power is from DAF’s MX-11 engine at 435bhp coupled to the ZF EcoLife gearbox. An Intarder auxiliary brake has also been specified.
