Praise has been pouring in for Go North East drivers and support teams, who have been helping NHS staff and essential workers get to their workplaces during the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak.
The operator is currently running all routes to emergency timetables.
Go North East Managing Director Martijn Gilbert says: “Nearly 500 of our 1,600 strong driving team are continuing to work around the clock to keep essential services running, supported by a skeleton team of colleagues.
“All key workers who are providing vital services are doing fantastic jobs to help keep the region moving. I’d like to personally thank each and every one of you.”
