Link Rider Coaches to weather COVID-19 with Simply

Link Rider Coaches of Swanage has worked with SME lender Simply to restructure its finance arrangements to allow it to weather the coronavirus COVID-19 storm.

Simply collaborated with Link Rider to create a bespoke payment profile that mirrors the nature of Link Rider’s business. The operator specialises in pupil and student transport and has thus been at a standstill since the closure of educational establishments.

Director Nick Hubbard contacted Simply Area Sales Manager Andy Beard “as soon as we knew what was likely to happen over the next few months.”

He gives Mr Beard credit for rewriting agreements to help clear arrears and for his other work, including arranging asset inspections and document signing remotely.

Mr Beard, who has been working with Link Rider Coaches for over a decade, notes that while the current landscape is difficult, he sees some positives for the coach industry in the future as day trips and UK holidays should become of greater interest.
