Dealership BASE Coach Sales is to import Beulas coaches to the UK once again. It will offer the full range of the Spanish coachbuilder’s established products on both MAN and Scania chassis in addition to supplying spare parts for existing vehicles.

BASE says that each Beulas model will be available on both manufacturers’ underframes, including the Jewel double-decker. As a further string to the partnership’s bow, Beulas will be able to carry out PSVAR conversions at its factory in Arbucies on Aura, Cygnus, Spica and Mythos coaches that are already in service in the UK.

The renewed relationship does not affect BASE’s existing work with Portuguese coachbuilder MOBIpeople. That continues to flourish, says BASE General Manager Nick Dodgson.

“Since 2015 we have sold almost 200 MOBIpeople Explorers, Midi Explorers and more recently the high floor Explorer and Premium models. But we are aware that there are sectors of the market that we have been unable to service.

“The addition of the Beulas product range on MAN and Scania chassis goes a long way to completing our product offering. We look forward to importing Beulas products for UK customers as the situation for coaching hopefully starts to improve next year.”

Adds Dolors Beulas Pascual, Beulas Administrative Director: “For Beulas, the UK has always been a highly valued market. That is why, together with BASE and its owners the Aspinall family, we are looking forward to restarting a new stage of collaboration.

“Although 2021 will be a difficult year for everyone, we are convinced that our collaboration will lead us to success due to the personalisation of our vehicles and the care that, together with BASE, we can offer our customers.”
