DA Travel on the Isle of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides has purchased a set of Stertil Koni ST1075FWA wireless mobile column lifts for its Kilpheder workshop.

Arrival of the Stertil Koni lifts follows research by the operator into the workshop equipment used by other organisations on the Outer Hebrides with heavy vehicle fleets, with a focus on manufacturer support.

In addition to the four column lifts, DA Travel has purchased two sets of heavy-duty axle stands: One a tall set and the other a medium.

Each of the column lifts has a maximum capacity of 7,500kg to give an overall lifting scope of 30,000kg across four columns. Incorporated is Stertil Koni’s ebright Smart Control System. It allows engineers to operate columns individually, in pairs or in any other combination from any column in the set.

Full colour touch-screen consoles are fitted as part of the ebright Smart Control System, which the manufacturer says has been designed to provide simple operation with maximum visual information about every lifting operation.

The lifts are powered by long-life, deep cycle batteries that provide optimum performance for at least a week on average. Power is only consumed when lifting the vehicle. Charging can be carried out via a 230v single-phase supply.
