A new bus network will start in Barnsley on 29 January.
New ‘BConnect’ Day (£4.50), 7 Day (£16) and 28 Day (£60) tickets that can be used on any bus in Barnsley will complement the new network, by offering greater flexibility and a discount compared to current multi-operator tickets.
The Barnsley Bus Partnership – a voluntary agreement between Stagecoach Yorkshire, Globe Coaches, Waterson Coaches, Barnsley Council and South Yorkshire PTE – is putting the changes in place as part of the transport improvement objectives drawn up in the Sheffield City Region Devolution Deal.

The Partnership’s plans aim to better coordinate buses and reduce congestion, make sure services are sustainable and support economic growth.
They were shaped following consultation with communities and councillors in June and July 2016 that saw 1,162 people give their views.
