Stagecoach South has announced it raised £5,806 for local charities after giving eight single-decker buses a festive makeover in the build-up to Christmas.

Drivers on these buses serving Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex were also kitted out in Christmas attire.

Charities in receipt of the donations will be Roald Dahl’s Children’s Charity, Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, Winchester Hospice, the Sussex Snowdrop Trust, St Michael’s Hospice, Saxon Wood School, Julia’s House, and Naomi House and Jacksplace hospices.

Marc Reddy, Managing Director for Stagecoach South, says: “Our popular Santa bus has become a great tradition for the local communities served. We are delighted to be supporting charities across the area and I’m sure that our customers will be pleased knowing that they have helped raise such an amazing amount for great causes.”
