Gemma Plant, 19, daughter of Cheadle, Staffs-based Plants Luxury Travel Directors Julie and Mark Plant, passed her Category D driving test for full-size coaches on Thursday last week (20 April).
Gemma completed her training in Wolverhampton and was ready to take the test at Featherstone two days earlier, but a problem with the training vehicle saw it cancelled.
However, she was able to secure an appointment in Nottingham on Thursday and came away with a pass.
“Gemma starts work at a local primary school looking after a child with special needs this week, so her driving will be worked around that, but she will remain involved in other aspects of the business as time allows,” says Julie.
