Arriva has reported strong patronage for its services to the Randox Grand National last Saturday.
Around 60,000 attendees were at Aintree racecourse for the final day of the country’s most famous horse racing festival. It is the 26th year that Arriva has transported passengers to the event.
The operator says the day of the Grand National was one of its busiest days in recent times.
Arriva North West Area Director Richard Hoare says: “Liverpool welcome huge crowds and we’d like to thank all of them who chose to travel by bus, as it’s a more cost effective and environmentally-friendly option.
“It’s our 26th year of transporting racegoers to and from the Aintree festival and we had three very busy days.
“Credit must go to our operational and driving staff for ensuring it ran like clockwork.”
