Timberbush Tours has confirmed investment in 17 new vehicles for the 2025 season across its operating centres in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness.

That will represent a spend of £2.5 million. Largest of the arrivals will be a pair of Neoplan Tourliner 53-seaters from MAN Truck and Bus UK. Four MAN TGLs with MOBIpeople Midi Explorer 32-seat bodies will be supplied by BASE Coaches Sales.

Meanwhile, Coachtraders will deliver 11 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter-based minicoaches. 10 of those will be 517CDi models with UNVI conversions – six at 19 seats and four to carry 16 passengers – with the final example a 417CDi with 10-seat Paramount Conversions finish.

The UNVI Sprinters will follow 16 examples of that combination delivered to Timberbush in 2024 by Coachtraders, which is based around 25 miles away from the operator in West Lothian.

Timberbush Tours is active in the day and multi-day coach trip market in Scotland and Northern England along with the provision of private and corporate hires. The 2025 new vehicle orders are the latest in a long line of strong fleet investment by the Edinburgh-headquartered operator.

CEO Steve Spalding (pictured) underlines that next year’s intake follows Timberbush’s policy of procuring the most fuel-efficient and environmentally conscious coaches as part of the business’s sustainability commitments.

“We are excited to be able to bring new state-of-the-art vehicles to bolster our fleet,” he adds. “It is an exciting time too for our customers, who will see the benefits of these vehicles and give them the experience of travelling in the most environmentally friendly coaches available.”
