Ticketer has been named as one of the companies to inspire Britain and distributes 2bn tickets
Less than a year after announcing that it had issued a billion tickets through its Electronic Ticket Machines (ETMs), Ticketer has issued its two billionth ticket. As well as reaching this milestone, the business has also been identified as one of the London Stock Exchange Group’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2019.
Anne MacKissack, a driver for McGill’s, issued the milestone ticket in Glasgow, just a few days shy of the one-year anniversary of the one billionth Ticketer ETM ticket, which was issued by a Reading Buses driver.
Both achievements have come in Ticketer’s 10th Year in business. In that time the company has grown into one of the UK’s leading integrated revenue, tracking, performance and fleet management provider.
John Clarfelt, Ticketer’s Managing Director, says: “We have had another exceptional year.
“We are celebrating our 10th year in business and our passion for making it as easy as possible for passengers to use buses has allowed us to achieve a significant share of the UK ETM market, and to grow our business by over 50% in each of the last three years.
“It is immensely gratifying to think that the bus industry, and our business, has been recognised by the London Stock Exchange in this way; it is testament to the industry’s continuing commitment to innovation.”
To be recognised on the list, businesses had to demonstrate not only positive revenue growth over the last three years, but also outperform their sector peers.
