More than 400 Stagecoach Manchester drivers have been recognised for safe and fuel-efficient driving via the GreenRoad Fleet Elite programme.
To be successful via the scheme, drivers need to log more than 500 miles in a year and achieve an average of five or fewer events including harsh braking or acceleration per 10 hours of driving in that time.
The Fleet Elite scheme is linked to the GreenRoad scheme, which is installed on all Stagecoach vehicles, continuously analysing drivers’ manoeuvres and efficiency and providing them with feedback via a traffic-light-like system on the dashboard.
A total of 443 drivers gained the Fleet Elite standard, along with a special badge in recognition of their achievement. Out of those, 51% achieved the Master Feet Elite standard for maintaining a Fleet Elite rating for four or more years. The rest were recognised in the GreenRoad gold, silver and bronze categories.
Lee Wasnidge, Managing Director of Stagecoach Manchester, says: “It’s a true pleasure to see more of our drivers receive the Fleet Elite and Master Fleet Elite status this year. It is a real testament to the excellence of our team and their hard work and commitment to driving safely and efficiently.
“Smoother, fuel-efficient driving is not only safer but provides more comfortable journeys for our customers, as well as helping to cut our carbon footprint and meet our sustainability targets.
“A huge congratulations to everyone who achieved the award this year. We are so proud of all of them.”
