Xplore Dundee is hosting ‘The Big Bus Show’, a free charity open day event, to raise money for Dundee Bairns, a children’s charity that helps children living in poverty in the city.
The open day will take place on East Dock Street depot on Saturday 4 May from 1100hrs and will educate visitors more about the bus company with activities and attractions.
The operator says visitors can expect funfair rides, depot tours and bus wash rides, as well as street food, merchandise, live entertainment and more.
Says Stephen Riggans, General Manager at Xplore Dundee: “Xplore Dundee’s Big Bus Show is not just about showcasing our fleet; it’s about celebrating our community and the vital role public transport plays in connecting people. We’re excited to open our doors and invite everyone to join us for a day filled with fun, learning, and unforgettable experiences, all for a charitable cause.”
Adds Genna Millar, Project Manager at Dundee Bairns: “Thanks to all at Xplore Dundee for helping us to help Dundee’s Bairns through donation of proceeds from the money raised at the open day on 4th May. We are always so grateful for the support of our local community.”
