Daish’s Holidays has acquired long-established Lancashire business Robinsons Holidays. The deal includes two hotels and 13 coaches.
The purchase will allow Daish’s to expand its reach into North West England. That “has always been a business goal of ours,” says Managing Director Jeanne Wilson. She adds that despite a difficult 2020 for the coach tourism industry, Daish’s is “proud to be in the strong position of expansion and we are excited to unveil our new services in January 2021.”
The Robinsons Holidays brand will be retained on coaches. The hotels that form part of the deal – the Imperial Hotel in Eastbourne and the Abbey Lawn Hotel in Torquay – will see minor refurbishment. Daish’s business model and branding will be then be introduced at both.
Ms Wilson adds that there are “fantastic synergies” between the Daish’s and Robinsons businesses. “We are committed to building and expanding Robinsons’ offering, which has been established in the UK for almost 100 years.”
The Robinsons properties in Eastbourne and Torquay will complement 10 hotels that are already part of the Daish’s business. Daish’s also runs 25 coaches.
