Initial failure rates fall for PSV
The DVSA’s annual testing statistics for 2017/18 show that initial failure rates have all fallen.
PSV initial failures dropped to 12.9%, from 14% the previous year – better than the HGV figure of 15.5%.
The main reason for failures in coaches and buses were brake system components, body issues, doors and emergency exits, seat belts and suspension.
