Cloud-based software provider eCoachManager has announced the acquisition of Don’t Travel Empty (DTE), a longstanding membership organisation that offers specialist services to coach operators.

The deal aims to create a more comprehensive digital platform for the sector by integrating DTE’s services with eCoachManager’s existing technology.

DTE is known for its booking platform, empty leg matching system, vehicle management tools and passenger recovery service. All will now operate under the eCoachManager umbrella. Operators using the services are told they can expect enhanced support through improved software functionality, including artificial intelligence for route optimisation, and expanded 24/7 assistance.

Says Anthony Marett, DTE founder: “It has been an honour and a privilege to serve the industry through DTE for over 15 years and would like to thank every single operator who has supported us.

“We are secure in the knowledge that DTE is in very safe hands as have watched eCoachManager’s development into the world class system it is today for a long time now. It also allows us the time to concentrate on our next venture, the Coach Company Co-operative”

Adds Mark Bond, CEO of eCoachManager: “This acquisition represents a significant step forward for eCoachManager and the coach industry as a whole. We are delighted to welcome DTE and its members to the eCoachManager family. DTE has cultivated a strong reputation for member support, and we are committed to building upon that foundation by integrating our advanced technology and expanding the services available.

“By combining our strengths, we will empower coach operators with the tools and support they need to thrive in today’s competitive market. This synergy creates a true win-win scenario for everyone involved.”
