A new overnight service connecting Bradford, Birmingham Airport, Heathrow Airport and London and faster service between Manchester and London are among a raft of route upgrades announced by National Express.
A new daily 466 service will serve Bradford, Leeds, Sheffield, Chesterfield and Derby, as well as the Midlands and the capital, leaving at 2320 or 2330 and taking around six hours.
Meanwhile, journey times on its 540 coach service between Manchester and London have been reduced by up to 30 minutes to a little over four hours.
The scheduled services operator also says that, from 17 May, the 170 service between Manchester, Manchester Airport, Liverpool and Leeds will be enhanced. The 171 service covering Manchester, Liverpool, Bradford and Leeds will also be boosted on this date, with increased departures between Birmingham and Yorkshire also on offer.
A week later will follow upgrades to the 460 service between Rugby, Coventry, Heathrow Airport and London. Meanwhile, from 31 May, a revised 465 between Yorkshire, East Midlands and London – also introducing Loughborough – will begin.
Ed Rickard, Network Director for National Express UK and Ireland, says: “With continued investment in our coach network, including the introduction of this new 466 service connecting major cities across Yorkshire with Birmingham Airport, Heathrow Airport and London, we are making it even easier for savvy travellers to save their money for their holidays, with convenient, great value travel and a guaranteed seat.
