Multiple order announcements hailed Irizar UK’s presence at Euro Bus Expo this year, with major deals confirmed with coach operators Eavesway Travel, Prospect Coaches and West Coast Motors.
Those orders have been buoyed by further business secured over the course of the show (the fruits of which will be announced in due course), record volumes and performance results, and the breaking of ground at the dealer’s new dedicated site in Nottinghamshire.
Managing Director at Irizar UK Andrew Blundell says Euro Bus Expo resembles a “window of opportunity” for the company, but that the mood music comes from a record year in 2024 and a strong pipeline of orders into 2026.
“It’s great for us to have other teams from the Irizar organisation with us, from the coach team to head office and Irizar e-Mobility, and the after-sales team. It’s been fantastic to connect and socialise, and show off our standing within the industry, and the success that the company is having. That has been cemented by people that came onto our stand and the positive conversations we have had,” he says.
Adds Sales Director Julie Hartley: “We’ve had a positive three days at Euro Bus Expo with handshakes on the stand for multiple deals to be confirmed in due course. There’s real positivity from the business we have secured.
“This has felt like a true return to form following COVID-19. Many of us were feeling fragile in 2022 as the ramifications of recovery were still being felt. But this year showed the buoyancy of the industry, and what a good place vehicle sales are in at the moment. In terms of customer confidence, bigger than any vehicle order will be the news of our new site investment. For Irizar UK to be investing so highly into the UK is a huge boost.”
