Aziz Coach Service of Birmingham has added a pair of Volvo B8Rs with Plaxton Leopard bodywork to its fleet. They were supplied by Alexander Dennis.
Each of the new coaches is PSVAR compliant and seats 72, all with belts. The specification includes gullwing mirrors, additional marker lights and roof-mounted air horns.
Internally, USB charging points are fitted, while the lift is ahead of the rear axle. Destination displays are equipped with white LEDs. The vehicles are set off by cherished 72-plate registration marks and polished alloy wheels.
The delivery represents further success for the Plaxton Leopard with Aziz Coach Service. It makes up over half of the fleet of the family-owned business, which was established in 1960.
The coaches were handed over at Alexander Dennis’s Scarborough plant by Sales Manager New and Used Coach Sales Simon Wood. In a joint statement, Directors Nazir and Yasar Hussain say: “The Plaxton Leopard is the workhorse of our fleet, bringing together capacity, reliability and ease of operation.
“When it came to adding another two coaches, it was therefore an easy choice to pick the Leopard again, and the Plaxton team has exceeded expectations again with their attention to detail in finishing the vehicles to our specification.”
Adds Mr Wood: “I would like to thank Yasar for the repeat business, which supports British coachbuilding and ensures that investment is kept in the economy. It is a delight to see these latest Plaxton Leopard coaches hitting the road, and we all look forward to continuing to support Aziz Coach Service.”
