One of the i6 integrals is a 12.9m two-axle; the other is a 14.1m tri-axle

Swindon-based Barnes Coaches has returned to Irizar UK (01909 500514) for two more i6 integrals: A 12.9m two-axle example and a 14.1m tri-axle.

Both coaches are powered by the DAF MX-11 engine, rated at 370bhp and 440bhp respectively. Each has a ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox.

Internally, common amenities include a centre sunken toilet, a vacuum cleaner, a drinks machine and a Bosch audio and Actia entertainment system. The smaller coach has 53 i6 seats and the tri-axle 61.

“We run a mixed fleet and we have three different coach suppliers, so as not to have all of our eggs in one basket,” says Director Luke Barnes. “However, we find that the Irizar integral is a firm favourite with our customers.”
