Ensignbus has grown its fleet of StreetDeck Ultroliners to 21 with the delivery of 14 more examples, supplied by Wrightbus.

They further increase the number of Euro VI buses in the Purfleet operator’s core fleet. Ensignbus Director Ross Newman says that good experience of the initial seven StreetDeck Ultroliner delivered influenced the decision to take more, along with delivery dates.

“We were happy with the seven that we already have and pleased with reliability and fuel consumption, which is between 8.5-9mpg,” adds Mr Newman.

The StreetDecks are not for any specific route but take account of a growing need for vehicles that comply with London’s LEZ on rail replacement services and one of the services that transport staff to an Amazon distribution centre.
