Lancashire operator Express Travel has welcomed a new Mercedes-Benz Tourismo to its fleet, supplied by Daimler Buses UK.
It is a 12m, 53-seat example. Included are drop-down tables, footrests and twin 21.5-inch monitors as part of the entertainment system. A centre sunken toilet is fitted, while PSVAR compliance incorporates a passenger lift behind the front axle and destination displays.
Purchase of the Tourismo represents repeat business from Express Travel, which is based in Accrington. The driver benefits from a leather steering wheel and a heated seat with swivel functionality.
The coach is built to full GSR compliance. It has safety technology including Active Brake Assist 6, Sideguard Assist 2, and Traffic Sign Assist.
Power comes from the OM 470 engine developing 430bhp coupled to a ZF EcoLife six-speed automatic gearbox.
