Bedfordshire independent bus operator Grant Palmer has invested over £250,000 in two new Alexander Dennis Enviro200s. They join a fleet of 35 and will be used on a network of services across the county.
The 8.9m models have been manufactured in Scarborough. They each have 30 high-backed seats with USB charging points and follow recent investment by the operator in ticket machines that accept contactless payments. The Enviro200s also come equipped with tap on, tap off card readers. The business additionally has its own app.
Grant Palmer says it is glad to help support the domestic bus industry with the purchases, which carry prominent Built in Britain signage.
Adds Executive Assistant Thomas Manship: “We are pleased to add two further low-emission buses to our fleet, helping to improve local air quality and provide better journeys for our customers.”
