Lancashire County Council (LCC) has purchased eight Mercedes-Benz Sprinter-based Strata HF high-floor minibuses, supplied by Mellor (01706 860610).
Mellor products make up LCC’s entire 100-strong minibus fleet. The latest tender was won on the basis of both competitive pricing and offering the specification required, which includes a fold-out step, double rear doors and an inboard tail lift.
Says Fleet Manager Mark Wilkinson: “We needed minibuses with a flexible layout, as they have been earmarked for adult social service transport.
“A number of different configurations are required to accommodate passengers with varying levels of mobility.”
