Ace Travel of Airdrie and its McLeans Coaches operation have taken delivery of a pair of Irizar i6S Efficient integrals, supplied by Irizar UK.

They are 12.9m, two-axle examples, each with 57 seats and three-point belts. The specification includes a centre sunken toilet and USB charging points, along with a built-in vacuum cleaner and a Bosch Smart Series audio-visual system with a front monitor.

PSVAR compliance is provided by items including a Masats lift behind the front axle and a set of Hanover destination displays. Both coaches will be used on a contract held by Ace Travel to provide vehicles for Megabus services, and hence they each also come with a clear partition screen behind the driver.

Power is from the DAF MX-11 engine developing 408bhp coupled to the ZF Traxon automated manual gearbox. Cherished registration marks are fitted to both coaches.
