Shiel Buses of Acharacle has bolstered its fleet with a further pair of Enviro200 single-deckers, supplied by Alexander Dennis. They are 10.8m models that have the OEM’s SmartPack fuel-saving technology to deliver Low Emission Bus certification.
Their specification includes wood-effect flooring, double-padded Alexander Dennis SmartSeats trimmed in sustainable Scottish leather, USB charging points, and audio technology with saloon speakers.
Shiel Buses Managing Director David MacGillivray says that arrival of the further Enviro200 pair is “great news” for customers and that they have quickly proved popular, not least because of the breadth of comforts they are equipped with.

They join other Enviro200s in the Highlands operator’s fleet of around 50 vehicles, which also includes a Plaxton Panther Cub delivered by Alexander Dennis in 2021.
