Johnsons Coaches takes three Yutong TC9 midicoaches

Johnsons Coaches of Henley-in-Arden has continued its vehicle investment programme with the delivery of three Yutong TC9s, supplied by Pelican Bus and Coach.

They are to the standard high specification of the TC9 and the operator says that they will fit well into its corporate and private hire programme. External finish is in Johnsons’ established yellow, blue and white livery.

General Manager Kyran Flynn (pictured) adds that when considering vehicle orders for 2024, Johnsons had identified that its midicoach fleet needed to expand. “There is a growing demand for these smaller coaches,” he continues.

“We decided to purchase three Yutong TC9s to enhance our commitment to providing high-quality coach travel for a range of customers, including corporate hires, staff transfers, and incoming UK tourism.”

Two of the new arrivals are PSVAR compliant, Mr Flynn adds. That continues Johnsons’ commitment to meeting numbers required by the wider medium-term exemption approach to PSVAR.

The coaches represent return business for Pelican. Area Sales Manager Lee McMahon says that the Castleford dealership is proud to hand over three TC9s, adding: “We are very much looking forward to seeing these vehicles join the Johnsons fleet as this will continue our great working relationship.”

Delivery of the Yutong TC9s is part of a planned ÂŁ2.6 million investment in new coaches by Johnsons in 2024.
