An unusual minibus for Newtownmountkennedy, Co Wicklow-based Vagabond Tours is a four-wheel drive Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, converted and supplied by EVM Direct (0845 520 5160).

It uses the 319CDi base vehicle and has a 191bhp OM 642 V6 engine coupled to a 7G-Tronic automatic gearbox.

12 Executive Class seats are fitted, finished in half-leather and with three-point belts. Tarabus anti-slip flooring has been specified along with a Sound 15 entertainment system including a radio and SD and USB input ports.

The bumpers and grille are colour coded, while to suit the vehicle’s off-road application, it has a raised air intake incorporating a snorkel. It also has all-terrain tyres, allowing it to travel on beaches, along mud tracks and through rivers.
