Blaze cause was ‘probably electrical’

A fire last May that destroyed a Nottingham City Transport (NCT) Optare Solo was probably caused by an electrical fault, fire investigators have said.

NCT says evidence that would have revealed the cause was destroyed in the blaze. But it concluded an electrical fault was the most likely trigger and said it is ‘extra vigilant’ when conducting PMIs as a result.
