LowCVP will host a free workshop on Thursday 5 December in Reading that will share experiences of depot and fleet electrification for buses.
It will discuss the barriers to electrification, the solutions now available and the potential options for operators that are currently assessing the electrification process.
Other topics are set to include grid upgrades and connections, on-site battery storage and renewable generation, electrification of leased properties and the opportunities presented by time of use charging and selling electricity back to the grid at peak times.
Speakers from Alexander Dennis, Big Lemon, LowCVP, Metroline, Nottingham City Council, SSE Enterprise and others will address delegates.
The workshop is one of a number that LowCVP will host over coming months. They will all help to share learning around fleet and depot electrification.
