The Peak District and Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire are to create a new ‘East of England touring route’ with £1m from the Discover England Fund.

The 300-mile touring route will span England from London to Northumberland, uniting well-known destinations with those that are off the beaten track.

Germany is the target market: Touring is a familiar and popular holiday choice for Germans.
