The Southern Wales Showcase – now in its third year – has welcomed over 30 group buyers from all over the country.
Organised by Southern Wales Tourism with Steve Reed Tourism, the event introduced coach and tour operators and group travel organisers to high-quality attractions, venues and destinations during a three-day fact-finding visit.
A networking event at the National Velodrome in Newport saw face-to-face ‘speed dating’ meetings between suppliers and group buyers, which generated high-quality leads and many bookings on the day.
Vicky Jones, Project Manager at Southern Wales Tourism, says: “We were so happy to welcome the tour planners to South Wales so they could experience much of what we have to offer to groups and coach parties. Already bookings have been made – even during the event itself.”
