Lincolnshire-based Brylaine has launched a new travel app for passengers, which marks the start of an expansion of its digital footprint.
Launched on 25 February and developed in partnership with industry tech supplier Rise Digital Media, the app offers information, timetables, journey planning tools, operator news and live bus tracking (including arrival and departure times) to users. Registered users can also save their favourite services, stops and routes for quick reference.
The app is free and will be combined with a new website. It is powered by Rise’s BusHub mobility platform.
According to Marrianne Garbutt, Managing Director at Brylaine, the app marks the first stage of the company’s new digital communications strategy and will bring about “much needed comms” across its rural footprint.
Says Chris Nice, Operations Director at Rise Digital Media: “We know that passengers want instant and easy access to up-to-the-minute information on buses and services, and we are therefore delighted to have worked with the team at Brylaine during the production and launch of its exciting new passenger App.
“We look forward to continuing our work with Brylaine over the coming months as we roll-out further digital solutions for the benefit of the company and, most importantly, its passengers.”
