The service was the first Sapphire route to be introduced by Arriva in April 2013, and has grown in popularity, prompting the £3.25m investment.

The new fleet introduces free 4G wi-fi, luxury eco-leather seats with seat-back trays and reading lights, at-seat bell pushes, improved USB points, seats around tables, AV next-stop announcements and a glass roof.
